Practitioners have long used this trusted instrument to help individuals gain clarity around their vocational interests—supporting better decisions, greater confidence and more satisfying career pathways.
The Strong Interest Inventory® Certification Program now centres on the newly released Strong Interest Inventory® 244 assessment, the most advanced version of the instrument to date. This update includes:
- More than 300 occupational scales
- Over 100 academic majors
- Improved psychometric properties for greater accuracy and interpretive power
- Gender-neutral scoring, ensuring results are inclusive and contemporary

Who will benefit from this program?
The 2-day Strong Interest Inventory® Virtual Certification Program is designed for career counsellors, HR consultants and outplacement specialists, who are familiar with basic career guidance and general HR procedures.
Program Highlights:
- Learn about Strong scales and their meaning
- Gain an understanding of the reliability and validity of the scales and results
- Learn how to successfully administer and interpret reports for career exploration and development
- Apply results to career development, career change and job satisfaction issues
- Learn how and when to use reports and support materials
- Develop your feedback skills and techniques to respond to client questions
- Upon successful completion of the program you will gain a certificate of qualification to purchase and use the Strong instrument and reports
To earn the designation Strong® Certified Practitioner, in addition to actively participating in the entirety of the program you need to achieve a passing score of 80% or higher on the multiple-choice exam, which will be released for completion online at the end of the second day. Those who do not achieve the minimum score in the exam will be offered alternative self-paced assignments to complete so that they may meet the requirements of certification.
Following their successful completion of the program, participants will receive a certificate of qualification to for you to purchase, administer and interpret the Strong Interest Inventory® suite of assessments and reports.
